We have stayed true to our customers and are the only company that can offer hot source units with the same ARM9 chip that is in the iTouch and iPhone and our customers can make 40-45 points! Soundstream is one of the only companies that is not sold at Crutchfield, at Best Buy or any other mass marchant. Every person I talked to during my last trip said that they cannot make more than 18 points, typically 8-10 points. Do you realize that at CES for 2010, Audiobahn is obviously out of business, Rockford has not been there for 3 years, Kicker is going to debut their home audio and will not even be in the hall with the car audio guys, JL probably will not show, etc.Įventually, if Ebayers and transhippers keep doing their thing, all high end brand will come to and end and all you'll get is nee crap coming out until Ebay ruins it and it becomes no longer profitable.Īlpin just went into Future Shops in Canada. Now the manufacturer has to make it cheaper and lower quality just so they can make money.
We all have to make products cheaper for guys who refuse to pay appropriate prices for high end equipment. Why would you want that? Do you realize that Ebay is one of the key factors that destroyed many of the high end products. Just wondering if indeed the new Reference line is going to be any good. PS - I still have my old Soundstream Granite 180.6 amp and it is still going strong in my daily driver powering 4 speakers and one sub!!! I used to compete in IASCA back in 96 & 97 and ran a Reference 500 and two Reference 300 amps as well as SS6.1, SS511 and two SS10R subs.

I was just wondering how the new reference series amplifiers (2.370 & 1.500) compares to the original (power output, relays, power supply, etc)? I read that they are built to the same specs as the original Soundstream Reference amps (I used to have 3 ///y282845/emoticons/) If rediculously excursion, ground pounding, car alarm tripping bass is your style, then this is your product.I noticed that Soundstream has a Reference Amp Line out. If you are really into quality audio, dont buy the BX-10, go for a good equalizer instead. This product on the other hand made my system much more alive and the 18dB boost for the sub range (selectable between 20-70Hz!) makes it thump also. It's a four band parametric equalizer with 10V RMS output and adjustable frequency boost ranges. I sent it back that same day and took the Soundstream MPQ-6XO instead. The Low bass it produces is really awsome BUT the lack of certain mid-bass frequencies really puts it back in my book. You should have at least a decent pair of 12s to use this product, otherwise it wont work for you. Now, this thing really makes your system thump!!! I had the volume at 1/3 of what i usually play my system and i can max out the subs! The bass it produces is EXTREMELY LOW and really sounds great, that i liked.
Maybe i adjusted it wrong or something but certain ranges (mid-bass) were completely missing. and during one song, i wasn't hearing any bass at all!! I dont know why. Then, it sounds as though there is NO mid-bass.

So, i used the manual for the Epicenter i downloaded. 1st, the Soundstream doesn't come with a manual nor is there one available on the Internet. and hated it! Seriously, it didnt sound like i expected it to.
